1st post, question about a potential C5...
Hi all, I'm in the market for a C5 and I was curious about a 1999 coupe I found. I currently drive a Mustang Mach 1, so my knowledge is mainly Ford based. I don't recognize the color of this coupe, and was curious as to what the name of it was. Here is the best pic showing it...

Looks like its is Medium Purple Pearl Metallic but that color was on a '98. Are you sure its not a '98? If you can get the VIN Id be able to tell you the correct year. Ive seen dealers mark a car newer than what it is before. Its illegal but doesnt mean they dont do that.

I haven't seen the car in person, It's a little under 300miles from me. I was just doing som prelimenary research and stumbled upon this car. I was interested by the color, but I didn't recognize it. Thanks.

It could be Navy Blue. I have an 01 NBM vert and sometimes it looks purple when the sun hits it from certain angles. All the Medium Purples I have seen are lighter than this car appears to be. IMHO

Assuming it is a '99 and assuming it hasn't been repainted, it has got to be a Navy Blue Metallic!
It sure as heck isn't a black, or Nassau Blue Metallic. There are just no other color options that are even close for '99.
Sure doesn't look black to me. Of course, paint will appear a different color due to the reflection of objects around or near the car.
