Header install with other mods
Hello my fellow sting ray owners. I have just purchased the kooks 1 7/8 header the offroad x pipe and the Billy Boat bullet muffler system. For one has any one of you installed the kooks headers on the Z? Can you please tell me any of your hurdles and concerns before I dive in. Could any one tell me a guesstimate of the HP gains with the full system installed? I am very excited to see what the exhaust note sounds like. I will post some mechanical music when complete. There is a write-up on here somewhere that explains it pretty well, do a search with something like "kooks install". I did it in my garage, on jack stands. You will need to lift the motor up to get them in, and they both go in from the top unlike other brands. I dont have any dyno numbers but you should pick up 20-30 rwhp.
