OK...it's summer time lets see some trip MPG.
I just got back from a trip Phila to Ocean City MD got 32.6 MPG going down. Got a little racey coming back with a 911 and a 350Z and got 28.9
I just completed a 1300 mile round trip from OH-IA on the interstates. The DIC indicated 29.0, and I calculated 28.5 mpg. I drove through wind/rain/sun and the temps varied from 70-93 degrees. Not bad.
Not sure what my average would be with how much I drive it but Ive made a tank of gas last a month and a half. And the Vette is my daily driver. I just live within walking distance to my job.

Last spring I flew to austin, Tx. from Sun Valley Idaho, to pick up a '99 coup with 8,500 on the clock. I drove over at least two mountain ranges, through a gaggle of small towns and through a couple of large ones. Austin is at sea level and SV is at 6,000 ft. I drove the speed limit the whole way, I always do. If it said 75mph, I went 75mph. If it said 25mph, that's what I drove. I never loaded it up on green, and I used the brakes sparingly. It is probably 1500 miles. My average was 36mpg. When somebody says he gets 20mpg, I can believe it. City driving and your two feet are the culprits. It probably cost .40 cents to hear your pipes when you barely punch it. Thinkaboutit
Last week I returned from a 2300 mile trip in my '02 mn6 vert and I got 28 mpg overall as determined by dividing total miles by total gals. of gas used.. The DIC said my average mpg at start of trip was 22.6 and by the time I got back home it was up to 30.6 mpg.
I ran the a/c the whole trip and we were loaded to the gills with luggage.
Recently (May '07) we traveled from my home in Rhode Island to Key West Florida. Over a two week period we drove some 3700 miles of which about 20% was city stop and go traffic. At times, while at highway speeds we averaged 32 mpg/tank but overall we averaged
26.8 mpg for the entire trip. Pretty good for a 345 HP great looking comfortable car.
Ps. - I remember when a 340 HP small block got 12 mpg if you were lucky...!

Went to Bloomington earlier this month - plenty of highway driving, but lots of in-town time too. Over the 800 miles I put on the car, averaged 28.5 mpg.
Hey don't get me wrong I had to work my BUTT off to get that kind of MPG's going down there but I wanted to see what was the best I could do and I was happy with the results
When posting you MPG please specify whether your gas mileage was figured by your computer or was it actual miles divided by gallons required to refill the tank. I think you will find close to a ten percent difference between the two.
