Default Z06 RPO Code

Need some help from the Z06 guys here. Does anyone know what the RPO for the C5 Z06 is? Like the RPO for the C6 Z06 is 1LZ and 2LZ. Thanks in advance.

Yea I know about that. I just didnt know what the RPO's were, if there even is one, for the C5 Z06. Like when you ordered a C5 Z06, was there a RPO for it like the C6 Z06, 1LZ for one package of the Z06 and 2LZ for another package of the Z06. I know the base C5 was either a 1SA or 1SB. Hope I havent confused anyone yet.

Someone correct me if im wrong....

On the C6Z the 1LZ and 2LZ are "Option Packages". One option package will be more expensive because it has more options. I think the 2LZ option is the highest $$ option.

There were only 4-5 options on the C5 Z06 so I don't think they had option packages for it.

I know the 1LZ and 2LZ on the C6Z are option packages. I think Ive already figured out my answer, which is basically what you said, I dont think there were any options for the C5 Z06 as in packages, just seat colors, wheel options, etc.

Correct, no option packages, just a few RPO codes for options like Body Side Moldings, Electronic Monochromatic Mirrors, Front License Plate Frame, may have been another one depending on year. No wheel options for Z06. In 01, you got the forged Alcoa wheels, and in 02-04, you got the cast spun Speedlines, both in that gunmetal color.

The only RPO was for the 2004 special edition Z06 which was a Z16. Otherwise the hardtop (Z06) code is one of the digits in the VIN.

Not to nit-pick .... but depends on which year Corvette you're referring to.

In 1963 you could order a Corvette with RPO Z06, which was a "race" package that included upgraded suspension, brakes, a larger fuel tank, and the 327 cu. in. engine with fuel injection rated at 360 HP.

That option code became so "famous" that when Chevy came out with the C5 with a "race" package, they named it after the old RPO code ... hence our MODEL is called the Z06.

I was just looking at my build sheet and window sticker
The window sticker says 2002 CORVETTE z06
The only options were
memory package
electrochromatic mirrrors & body side moldings

now for the different part
the build sheet says Z06 then lists the various RPO's includes stating Z06 after each
ar9 base seat
B84 mldg
CJ2 a/c elect
DD8 ls mirror
FE4 Z06 susp
GU6 3.42 axel
LS6 5.7l Engine Z06
m12 6spd trns Z06
uno am/fm cd
uz6 Bose spkr
u73 fixed ant
xfw tire
yfu tire
p12 Z06 whls

so it seems that as with many of Gm's stuff it's a bit ambigous as wether or not Z06 is a model or RPO code or both

Just for informational purposes:
Non-Z06 VIN = 8th digit in the VIN is a "G"
Z06 = 8th digit in the VIN is a "S"

I know the '63 Z06 had a RPO Z06 but I originally asked about the C5 Z06 and Im in the C5 Z06 section.
