C5 Vert window dropped out
I am in the process of attempting a repairing on it. I wiped down the glass and old "glue" surfaces with rubbing alcohol and I glued it back together using Black RTV silicone. From the research I have done a few people have had luck with it.
I used two thick comforters (yeah my wife griped, but she wanted it fixed as well) to prop up the window and hold it against the top. I then ran a bead all around the window and pressed the top back into place. Its been curing for about 24 hours now and I think it's going to work, at least for a while. The seal seems pretty tough. I have to touch up a couple spots but I hope for the best.
Anyone else had this happen?
A new top is $499, does anyone know if a DIY'er can replace it easily? any "how to's" on top replacement?
