throtle body coolant bypass

Default throtle body coolant bypass

anyonbe know if bypassing the coolant line to the throtle body do anything ?? sorry for asking stupid question

There are no stupid questions. General consensus here on the forum is that is pretty much a waste of time and money.

There was a thread a while back where a guy ran the hoses wrong and pumped all his coolant into his engine. If I recall he ended up replacing the Engine.

Save your money and get the Performance Hood Seal instead.

How the heck did he do that? Run it into the PCV fitting?

Here's where you will find that 10 HP. The hood seal WILL keep 10 lbs. of road debris, dust and water off your engine. That you can take to the bank.

i just put on a shaner tb and did this mod while i had everything apart. cost $.78 for a piece of 1/4" hose, $.99 for a 1/4" joint ( not mj ), 2 1/4" vacuum plugs and 2 hose clamps. first thing i noticed is that the car now idles at 800 like it should. it was resting at 1200 and then after coming to a full stop, dropping to 800.
