Default Had a long day yesterday....

So yesterday im trying to get ready to go to Andy's Barbecue at A&A Corvette. I really needed new tires all around, they were okay for around town, but freeway driving was just a bad idea, so I order Kumho runflats.
At the tire place yesterday at 12:00 they inform me that one of my rear rims were craked on the inside of the wheel on the lip. . I figured that my plans were done for A&A corvette. but they are going to order a stock wagon wheel, I say no way and I call up West Coast Corvette in anaheim to order some wheels (in Manhattan beach at the time). They tell me that they have the wheels and that they will get them ready for me so I can get them and get back to the tire shop fast.
It is now 12:15 and Im on my way to WCC. Im moving fast in a buddies PT Cruiser to get their. Get there at 1:00, out by 1:15. Drive back to the tire place and get them the rims at 2:00. I figure that its cool that I have an excuse to buy some new rims. At 2:30 a mechanic at a shop down the street(good friend and i was hanging out there until The Vette was done) asks me to go pick up a customer down the street and I pass the tire shop at 2:40, rims right were I left them untouched, at this point I think, fine they should still have time to get it done before closing 5:00.
Go back to my friends shop, 4:45 I get the dreaded call from the tire shop, they wont be done with alignement and everything by closing and that it will be done the next day at 10:00. Im furious at this point but then sadness sets in that I will miss going to A&A Corvette in My C5. So I get home and my dad has this great Idea to have he and my mom go in the C6, and my Brother in the C4 and get a spot for me to park, and hopefully get a spot to get on the Dyno.
This morning I go to the shop at 8:45, and they had the car ready to go! I was so excited about the new wheels and tires, that I completely forgot how mad and disappointed I was yesterday. The guy said that he felt really bad about not getting it done the day before that he got there early, and got the alignment done.
I drive down to Oxnard from Manhattan Beach in a rush took me all of 50 minutes to get there. right when I get there my family is waiting in front to see the wheels I got.... They are C6 Z06 wheels in C5 sizes, the rims I was hoping to get next year.
So about two minutes after I arrive they call me up for the dyno after my long drive, where the engine was running cool at around 178, then once I got in the Parking lot at A&A it shot up to 225while I was trying to find a way to get through the crowds of people. My car when getting dynoed is at 217 oil temperature, and about 220 coolant temperature. They make the pull on the Dyno and my numbers are:

Max Power: 313.94
Max Torque: 319.11

I was very happy with the results considering how hot the engine was. The mods are: Borla Stingers, K&N FIPK, WCC X-Pipe, and 4.10s from A&A corvette.

Overall everything turned out well, got new C6z wheels, got a good pull on the Dyno, got to park in Andy's Main parking area.Got some good food, talked to some cool people. My dad left early, because his hip was hurting sitting in a wheelchair all day, but he would have loved to see a lot of the cars beeing dynoed.

I promise I will get Pics Later!!!!

Sounds like it all worked out for you in the end and nice numbers for those mods.

yes it did.

Im kind of shocked that my numbers were so good, I was going to be shocked if it made 300 rwhp. Pretty good for a car with 99,000 miles on it.

Great story. Thanks for sharing.

300HP out of an engine with 99,000 miles. Wow, I'm impressed!

THose are very good numbers, especially considering you have 410 gears Do you have an A4 or MN6? I assume MN6. Usually with gears you'll show lower dyno numbers.
Nice and glad it all worked out for you.

it is an MN6.

I had a small bet with a friend: over 300 I win money, under 300 he would win. He thought I would have 275! man am I glad he was wrong!

Glad things worked out for you and you have your new wheels to enjoy a year earlier.

but I also have to pay for them a year earlier too. I owe a lot of money now. My dad payed for most of the car for me, but I pay for everything else (mods, things that break, etc.). I am also getting the front end and maybe the rear end painted on thursday, because the old owner was really hard on it when parking (probably why we got such a good deal on the car).
