Default Installed Borla Stingers

Yesterday morning I bought a set of Borla Stingers from sixspdvet (Ernie), who by the way was great and couldn't ask for a better person to buy from, and I build some ramps with one of my friends

Then this morning my friend and I put the exhaust on. The only part we had trouble with was getting the stock exhaust out from over the axle so we ended up cutting through it, (if you are going to do this make sure you have a sawsall before you start) once we got the stock exhaust out, besides for a short drive with strait pipes, the new exhaust took maybe 20 minutes to put in. Fits like a glove. Here are some pics of the process

Unscrewing the stock bolts

Where the mufflers are held up right under the rear

Before taking the stock exhaust off

Bolting the connection to the H pipe

Tightened the ban straps

Ans the final product

PS. LiquidWrench works wonders

It sounds amazing... next up is to get the X pipe
Thanks for checking it out

Nice job I went to my local muffler shop and got him to do it only charged me $40. His ins. wouldn't allow me to do it but I supervised the job after getting the info from the forum

Good job! Nice build with the ramps. Now all you need to finish off the *** end is an exhaust plate.

Good job! The stock pipes are a pain to remove. It took me some time
to wiggle them outta there just right without hurting anything.

Stingers Rock!
And droan a little to!

You're going to love them more and more everytime you start the Vette. I've had my quad stingers four years and I still love that sound as much as the first time I started it up.

Great engineering on the ramps! Did you include a cross brace just in case the car went sideways? I bet it was the passenger side that required cuting the stock pipe. Any exhaust leaks after you got it done?

I was thinking about that but this is helping my learning with doing it myself and I had nothing better to do today so it was fun

Yeah, that and maybe paint the rear facia black but for the rest of the summer I think I'm only going to get a new set of tires and if I get enough money a Vararam but maybe this winter or next summer I'll do that

No I didn't think of adding a cross brace but I might end up doing that soon, and yes it was the passenger side that was giving me the problems. I havn't had any leaks yet but I just got it done about hours ago and I put on the pre sealed gaskets so I should be fine hopefully

Default Installed mine last Friday

If you remove the 2 clamps that hold the swap bar to the frame of the car, it folds out of the way, and the passenger side stock exhaust comes right out.

They sound GREEEEAAAAT!!!!!

They are new but I got mine from Ernie and he only wanted 500 for them so I gladly took them off his hands for him and it was nice talking to him when I met up with him

I love my Stingers! They added 50+rwhp (yes fifty) to my twin turbo setup over Z06 Ti OEM exhaust. Proof positive that the Stinger design reduces backpressure and does not create oddities with exhaust gas flow that would upset a turbo.
