Default No badges?

I have searched and havent found what I was looking for.I was thinking of taking the corvette emblems off my Z, (on the front nose and the back trunk)

I want to see what it will look like if I do this before I pull them off.
If anyone has input or pictures please post them.

What do you think? Take em off / Or leave them on?

Thanks,Mike

I like the badgeless look and it gives false hope to your victims. Either way your car looks great!

I like the shaved look a lot but I decided not to do it. Here's why: for the front, there are pins on the back of the emblem that fit into holes in the front fascia. Tim Burke told me he could fill the holes, but that the filler would not expand and contract at the same rate as the fascia material, and that eventually you would see outlines where the holes are. Ouch.

The rear one is just held on by sticky "tape" and so would come off clean. But, it is handy for closing the rear hatch without leaving prints on the paint, and so when I couldn't/wouldn't do the front, I decided to leave it as-is.

But if I ever go with a Tigershark front end, yeah, I'll pull the rear one off!

I think it looks OK without the emblems, but you will need to find a way to fill in the two holes in the front fascia if you do this.

I didnt realize there were holes that the Emblem mounts to. I do use the rear Emblem for closing the trunk to avoid finger prints.

I figured the car might look a bit "cleaner" with the lines of the car without the Emblems.

I think they are small and classy looking enough to set off the car. I'd liek to get some, but not sure what they would say. 480 HP i guess

The Vette looks much better with its badges, IMHO.

I removed the rear one. Rear deck lid looks much better IMO. Very easy to do. I will do the front one later since it requires some body work because of the two mounting holes.

Yup, front has holes. My stock emblem partially peeled off on its own and I removed it before I lost it. Mainly because the stock emblem was mounted 3/4" off center... very noticeable up close. Turns out the holes were drilled off center too.

Right now I'm sporting no badge front with holes in the front that provide a mini-ram air effect to increase horsepower... well, if I keep telling myself that I can stomach the holes until my new badges show up.
