Default wipers wont shut off

I turned my wipers on last night and now they won't shut off. They keep running even though I have turned them off! Any suggestions?

Pull the fuse out so they don't scratch up your windshield. Then read the thread below. You need a new wiper motor. Happens alot it seems.

yes, he is correct. (1)pull the fuse (2) strap the wife to the hood with a bungee cord and put her to work ( she has to earn her keep somehow) you will have to keep your speed down while driving her arms will get tried after awhile. yes i know am an a**hole

What are tying to do, scratch the poor guys hood up? Get one of the kids to do it, they're lighter and offer less wind resistance.
Man, that is so wrong....funny as hell, but still wrong.

You may be able to save a couple of bucks if you take out the wiper motor and let it dry after cleaning out the utters. Mine wipers worked fine after mine dried out. Good luck

I agree I found that to help once I cleaned out the utters, wear a mask or something like that because the stench is extremely nauseating!!!! Beware!! But then I found that my wiring harness from the battery had a problem and that may have also caused the problem. All in all that was it ... either the wiring harness or utters.
