My 03 has 26k on it and when I first heard the price you mention I cringed I have heard 1 member here say that they got a dealer to offer 35k on his with slightly less on it as a trade on a C6............and it got me thinking...........I would be tempted to do that if I could get that out of mine................but only 26k you'd have to shoot me to let go of it for that price.

If you're buying it from a buddy flipping it for some $ wouldn't be a noble thing to do. If you don't end up buying it I'll take it

Default To Buy Or Not To Buy ??

The Quick Silver is a great color for this body style. I looked for a Speedway White for a while then the Quick Silver. I got such a deal on a Black 01 Z06 that I just couldn't pass it up.

It had a replacement motor installed under warranty in August of 2004 becaues of a broken valve spring. All replacement motors from early 2002 are 405HP motors . You could call a local Cheverolet Dealer and have them check the VIN number to see if it is subject to the " Valve Spring Replacement Bulletin ".

My car has 121k now with, 71k on the motor. I run it hard enough that if there was going to be a problem it would have happened already.

The curent NADA values are as follows:

LOAN: $24,750 + $1475 add for the miles = $26225

TRADE/(aka)WHOLESALE: $27500 + $1475 add for miles = $28975

I recently saw a 42k 03 Z06 listed for $22,600. There are some great deals out there if you are patient enough to look. Low mileage cars have the benefit of the remainder of the warranty(if applicable) and are more appealing to a perspective buyer, unless you are looking for a daily driiver to put alot of miles on.

Your wife would probably love the car:o .

Enjoy your C6 , the color is awesome.

I picked up an 03 Z EB/Blk a few months ago with 11500 miles for 32k. About a week prior to me picking the Z up, the owner was out driving it and dropped a valve spring, which in turn messed up the engine. Long story short, GM replaced the complete engine. So, now I have an 03 Z with a brand new engine!!

Sounds like you got an Xcellent deal. I like the black on black and my next Vette will be a black on black Z06 with black wheels. That said, I need to win the lottery first and not tell my wife I won.

26.5 for that is a steal. Last fall, the best dealer deal that I found online was in North Carolina somewhere at Carmax. It was a 2003 with 9000mi for $33k. This was a good deal and it only lasted 3 days. Adding another 8 months and 26000mi to it does not drop the price by $6500 even if it is a private sale.
