Default Body Side Molding for C5

Really like the look of the Body Side Molding on C5's. Unfortunately mine does not have the molding. I was wondering if anyone had put theirs on after market and was satisfied?

Post a "Wanted" thread in the for sale section and I'm sure you'll find someone who'll sell you theirs. Going price seems to be about $100 or so. Don't know about where to get it, but it sticks on with double sided tape. Good luck.

There are about as many people taking them off as there are people wanting to put them on. Shouldn't have any trouble finding some on the "for sale" forum.

Don't know how good the used ones would be. You would have to get the double sided tape to install it and it would never be like the original. I would spend the extra $$ and get the original ( new ) from the dealer. Get the part number from the dealer and the cost then go to http://gmpartsdirect.com/ and compare. good luck..

Used ones are just as good as new ones. All you need is to have them professionally painted (unless you already have the exact color), take off the old tape and some new 3M car tape and good to go. If you buy from the dealer it's gonna cost a lot more and your still going to have to paint them so no reason to buy new unless your really super ****.
I sold my old ones for $110 shipped.

If you like the look, just put them on. Not like you can't take them back off should you change your mind later.

Some folks love the BSM's (me) and some don't. Those who don't love them take them off sell them for fair prices and it works out well for everyone.

Most people I have seen that take them off just put them aside or throw them away...I bet you can post a thread asking if anyone has some they don't want that are just lying around...If I had a set I'd give them to you for nothing...used ones are just as good as new ones after you put new 3M double sticky tape back on...just takes a little time and effort

BTW...I ordered my '04 w/o BSMs...so I never had the chance to take them off

I bought a set from a forum member and put them on myself plus I made a drawing and measurements for the installation of theBSM's that I have sent e-mailed to a few members when they put theirs on

I like 'em and think they accent the C5 real nice like!

Thanks,Matt
