Default The vette on ICE

Just finished getting her ready for the weekend. Tried the new ICE product. Easy to apply, buffs off nicely. A little bit goes a longggg way. The shine on the black painted roof is . It seems like it will be a nice compliment to the carnauba I always use. A shine updater.

Please excuse the mess on the patio, I was too busy cleaning the vette to clean anything else. At least, that's what I'm going to tell the other half.

Looks good! I use the same stuff. Are you using the liquid or the paste?

I used the ice liquid and claybar on the car 2 months ago and the shine is great. The weird part is that any dirt sticks to the car and even when you put water on the car the water just runs down fast and doesn't even take the dirt with it..

May it was because I didn't have anything to do and I put a crap load of it on...Then the following day I gave it another heavy coat..I probably overdosed the vette on the ice.

My kid bought some for his car... He got razzzzed about it so bad, it's stowed away in a closet somewhere.

Most commented: "Isn't that the stuff the car wash squirts on it after it goes thru those brushes".

Can't render a verdict. Have not tried it. Generally though, Turtle Wax products have been afar from more mainstream polishes/waxes. I would like to know what more peeps think of it.

I use it as well and have the same problem, regardless of excess amount or not. Your supposed to apply it evenly throughout the vehicle, let it dry for 3-5 minutes, then take off the excess with a cloth (the liquid version I bought came with the cloth). However, dust sticks to it like mad - especially the rear end if you drive. And I found the same thing with water - it takes some dust but not much.

Have to do another cleaning a few days later or the car looks more like a mop

I used the paste and it works great. The dirt gets wiped off with teh california duster and a wet towel for the wheel wells (road water splashes).

I have not washed my daily driver with water since this thread in May http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show....php?t=1708891

Haven't tried the ice yet but I like the claim of no residue (white) in seams, et al. Here's mine after Mothers clay bar and wax kit,,,not bad either!

And if you want to see something "REALY SHINY" Here is Skilak Lake, Kenia, Alaska!
