Default Great question.

I'm sending my blown vert for dyno testing next week and outside of clean air filter, fresh oil and blower juice I don't know if there's really anything else to do. Do any of the CF tuners have any input on this?

Does it make a difference? I don't understand how it would.

Turn off the traction control. Dyno numbers should be taken from 3rd gear (automatic) and 5th gear (manual).

I’ve never heard using 5th gear on a manual for a dyno run. I have only heard 4th. Is this something new or am I missing something?

Thanks,

Clayton from Las Vegas

Make sure thay have a fan in front of the car so it doesnt overheat. Also make sure they dont hit the brakes on the dyno, that could end up very bad.

OK, I've never been to the dyno but isn't 5th the closest gear to a 1:1 ratio with the engine?

If you dyno your MN6/MN12 car in 5th you are going to get some low numbers...

Should be dynoed in 4th gear 1:1, 5th and 6th are OD gears.

Any other factors such as weight, amount of fuel, tire pressures, etc? I wouldn't expect any of that to matter on a dyno, but have heard of various methods to get higher numbers on a dyno, other than screwing with the software.
