I love the SP500's (and why wouldn't I?!?). I suggest lowering the C5 approx 1/2" (if Z51 equipped) by turning the bolts 5 turns up front and 4 turns out back. Then get it aligned.

Enjoy your ultra-hot new CCW's!!!

Ever since seeing your car, Chuck, I made up my mind. It was these wheels or nothing! I will be lowering it, BELIEVE ME! I want to lower it a full inch though, will I need one of the kits? 19x10 front and 19x11s rear, 275/30/19 and 305/30/19 Michelin PS2s, cost me $4700. "OUCH", I know, but if you are going to spend a lot of loot, you may as well get EXACTLY what you want.

We both owe the expenditure on SP500's to Alex1217 then, because it was his Cool C5 that had me wanting the rims! See a sample picture of Alex's ride below:
I have Z51 springs, so my C5 only dropped 1/2". The front is cranked down to the bushings, and then backed off 1/4 to 1/2 turn. You then crank the back the same number of turns. I did 5 up front and 4 out back. This maintained the same "rake". To me, it looks odd when the car sits lower in the back (less wheel well clearance).
A C5 with the FE1 (or stock) suspension will drop like 3/4" (or a bit more even). To me, the C5 looks best with an even gap around the entire wheel well. Dropping on stock bolts achieves that look.
Here is mine showing the fully settled suspension... lowered on stock bolts.
