Default JBA shorty headers

I just bought a set of JBA shorty headers yesterday. I saw them on craigslist and picked them up brand new in box with all hardware and instructions for $350. I thought I had a pretty good deal until I got online and found out that shorty headers are basically worthless. I'm now debating on whether to install them or sell them. If there is any sound improvement, I would be happy. I'm not expecting much if any extra power, but it would be nice if it helped some. Does anyone have experience with these headers? Do they sound better and/or do they offer any performance gains? On the plus side, I think they will be easier to install than long tubes. BTW, I have a Bassani x-pipe, B&B bullet quad tip running through stock cats. I posted this in tech but have yet to get a reply.

I was reading yesterday on the forums somewhere the someone in California put shortys on because we are not allowed most good products like long ones here. He said something about them having a nice sound. I forgot where the thread was but maybe do a search.

best of luck.

I think there is some gain with shorties, just not sure how much

If you have the later model c-5 with pup or pre-cats,I think you stand to gain more than the earlier c-5's,since they are eliminated altogether

If they will fit a 2000, I might be interested in buying them off you if you end up parting with them. I would prefer long tubes, but since I live in California....you know the story.
