I'll play devils advocate (surprise) and say that you have three different themes going on with the rear lights. Most people either want all red led, blacked out, or all clear. The best part of the stock rear lights is the 3rd brake light since it's already LED, yet you swap it with a clear one to match _____? Most swap to Halo tails to match the 3rd brake light. The blacked out reverse light are supposed to match blacked out tails. Not saying it looks bad, but it's just doesn't flow IMO.

I am aware of all of that. But for the overall vehicle I have 3 colors (or finishes) going, just like you should for curb appeal on a house, or in your garden. Torch red, gloss black, and brushed or polished aluminum. The last is my theme dictated by the Iforged wheels, which are polished rims with brushed centers. So, if you look at the entire car, the splashes of bright metal here and there complement the wheels, which are the primary surfaces for styling and individuality.
Auto designers recognize there are primary and secondary, (even tertiary) surfaces. In other words, some parts take center stage, while others should remain in the background. For example, in the interior, the parking brake boot should not jump out at you as a primary surface...it is a mundane, utility item. Whereas, the leather seats are a primary surface and should be stunning.
Also, my C5 is always in a dynamic state...trying different mods and even inventing some of my own, so I run with them for a while to see how it goes...who knows, by the end of the summer I may have made some more changes.

Your car looks great!
It's a piece of cake! Just use those splicers that hold two wires in contact...you squeeze them hard with some good pliers, and you are good to go. The GM sockets are at Autozone...$16....just splice the outer wires of the stock and the ones you bought...takes 15'

I just started lifting one edge with my fingers...went very slow...got it off by hand in about 10 minutes...some use fishing line. Park in the sun for a while and go to it....clean up residue any way you like afterward..paint is very durable....then hit it with compound and buffer.

I just finished with a complete swap of my rear lights, side markers and front corners with LED. Installing the hyperflash harness was very, very easy.

The hardest part for me was reverse engineering the Euro tail lights into the LED Halos. Reconnecting the white brake wire underneath the dash that was originally cut for the Euros was a b-e-o-t-c-h!
