My drivers mirror looks like it's delaminating at the top and looks like it has some moisture inside it now, do i have to buy a whole new mirror assembly and have it painted or can you just buy the glass portion?

if you're getting in there to replace the mirror either way, i'd recommend doing the signal mirror mod.

I bought just the glass on ebay. They just pop out, and pop in. I would have someone do it that knows the car, since they will break if not done right.

I too vote for the signal mirror mod; but it is going to be a lot more work than just replacing the glass. Be careful replacing the glass. It is a very tight pressure fit. I busted a signal mirror putting it in. Steady pressure is the key.

Is it the Electrichrome mirror(tinting)? If so, just the glass portion is $300 to replace it. My 01 Z has it and the mirror was doing this when I first bought the car. Becareful when taking it out and putting the new mirror in. The mirror holds a acidic based fluid, if the mirror breaks and the fluid gets on the car, you can say bye to your paint.

Yes it is the electrachrome mirror and damn that's expensive just for the glass, didn't know about the chemical inside thanks for the heads up! Will look around today to see what's available.
