Default Shifter install help

I just recieved my C6 shifter to put in my 04 Z. But it did't come with any instructions. Dose any one have a link to a set of instructions for this. I'm not sure if my mechanical abillities are up to this task.

Any feed back will help.

Thanks

David

Here you go. I've changed out shifters on a few cars and it's pretty easy.

You might also wonder about installing the shifter base that came with it. I simply unbolted the shifter and alignment pin and gasket, and installed onto the existing base in the C5 Z06. They appeared identical anyways. Make sure to pull the alignment pin out after you insert the shifter into the base or the shifter won't move.

I installed my C6 Z06 shifter last night and almost crapped a brick when I saw the big torx bolts that hold that base in and I didn't have the tools to get it out too.

The one problem that I ran into was the instructions did not tell you to becareful of the fuel door switch, nor dose it tell you to disconnect it. Don't let the pictures in the second link scare you, it is alot simpler than it looks.

That fuel door connector is somewhat of a pain to get plugged back in when putting the armrest back. GM didn't really give the harness enough play.

I think the biggest pain in the butt is getting that pin out of the stock shift ****. Everything else is downhill after that.

I traded out a BPP for mine. A huge improvement, IMO.
