Default Transmission drain/fil locations

I've used the search and have not found a definitive answer on where exactly the fill/drain is for the Z06 trans? I've look at the trans from the passenger side with that wheel removeed and I do see the temp sensor, but I'm not sure that is the location for the drain or fill.

Are there separate drain and fill plugs?
Is the proper plug to use for the change of fluid the sensor?

Want to get a good answer before doing something stupid.

Thanks.

On my 02 Z06 the drain is on the bottom passenger side close to where it bolts to the diff, the fill plug is on the drivers side half way up the case, with the word 'FILL' beside it and on mine had a temp sensor, disconnect and remove. Took about 3.5qts.

Edit:
I also found to put the car up on stands and then after draining begins lower the rear, helps get all fluid, then level and fill, I actually used a torpedo level on the case while a friend made adjustments,

rspreng86, thanks for the good info. I found the FILL and DRAIN just as you said, things went smooth with the change.

Default Drain and Refill

Funny you mention this as I just did mine today. The drain plugs are very easy to get to,a set of allen wrenchs are a must as well as a small hand pump to push the fluids out of the bottle. I went to Orielly and picked that up for 4 bucks. You may want to consider some synthetics I used Red-Line Syn 75-90 in the rear with friction modifier and Red-Line ATF in the tranny. The whole process will take the better part of an hour. Good luck with the project.
