Default Yet another exhaust question

I'm considering having this exhaust installed next week. They want $1100.00 installed. I think that is a pretty average price.?

Does anybody have this system? How do you like it? Any drone issues? I want it to sound louder than stock but not so loud that it over powers music and conversation inside the car.

Ahhhhhh, BORLA Stingers are very common on alot of VETTEs, so if the price includes the price of the pipes and installation, that seems pretty fair. However, you can find extremely nice used sets of these in the C5 parts section for have that and you can get someone to install them and save yourself hundreds.

Hey Robert, I do not have the Corsa exhaust I installed the GHL Bullets. They are definitly louder then stock. Nice rumble at idle and a great sound when you jump on it.... My wife has the B&B Bullets and they are loud...... The GLH Bullest has no drone in the cabin at cruise.

Robert you are going to have some drone with the stingers. I had them on for two years and it was very noticeable. When I went to ARH long tubes they definitely had to come off. I switched to Corsa Indys and I love this setup. Car screams when I want it to and no drone. Happy hunting for your new exhaust

Thanks for the great input. $1100.00 is a lot of money to me so I appreciate the help. I want to make the right choice the 1st time. I've seen Z06 Ti's being sold for reasonable prices on ebay. I know they are lighter than stock, do they a lot better than stock.

I'm guessing u mean "sound" ? they do sound better but in combo with headers they sound great, and u get a nice power boost with headers, save ur pennies and get the full exhaust!

We are having a big sale on the GHL's right now

Here is the link

The Magnum's would be very similar to the Borlas and Bullets are what Wayne has...

Give me a call if you have any questions...

Peace

I just put my stingers on about 3 weeks ago I think and I love them, there is a drone but it is at the perfect pitch, you can hear it when you get up to around 55 or 60 mph but in no way does it over power music or conversations, it sounds amazing. As fasr as the installation, I put mine on myself, theres a thread on here somewhere about it with pictures and the hardest part of the whole process was getting the old exhuast off the stingers just fit right in there. I had to cut my stock exhaust but thats because I didn't have enough clearance (I think). But it doesn't sound like a bad price for them to install it. I just like to get my hands dirty and see what my car is all about (I'm still learning). So if you have the time I would say put them on yourself (if you are going to cut the stock exhaust make sure you have a sawsall with a metal blade) or if you let them install it you will not look back on the purchase. Best thing I've done for my vette yet

I got mine from a forum member for $500 and i still get asked if it were new, so if you are trying to save money I would look around on the forum and buy a used one, its ALOT cheaper
