Passenger Window?

Hi, I am a C5 newbie! Everything works on my 14k car except the passengers electric window. If you push the rocker switch you hear a faint click, but nothing else. I was told it could be a window module?? Any cheaper ideas??

I assume it won't work with either switch drivers or passenger?

Beat the hell out of it with a rubber mallet or your fist. It will proabbly work for a while. Or do like I did and buy a new assembly complete with motor and guides and replace the whole thing.
I got mine new from a local corvette shop for 250 cash. I think gmpartshouse.com has them for a good price too. Takes 2 hours to fix for a diyer. Pull off the door panel (this is scarey first time) and start by loosening the window tightening nuts, then slide out the window. Next start undoing the bolts that hold the assembly in place. Pull the assembly out and put the new one in. Then drop the glass back in and tighten. Drive the car on the highway before putting the door panel back on to make sure youve got a good seal.

Or just beat the thing till it starts working. I think this has worked for others.

Turn on key, hold the button down and pound on the center of the door a few times. It worked for me. That was last year and it's still working fine!

GM and Ford have had a window problem for years. Parts are expensive. Learn how to change it yourself if you can. Or find a buddy who knows how to do it.

Try the beating trick everyone is talking about. I had to actually take the door panel off an tap the motor with a hammer. Odds are though it is only a temporary fix. I went ahead and bought another assembly just in case, but I have never had to install it.

If you decide to buy a new one send me a PM, I would be willing to part with mine (new in the box.. and I am building a new house so every bit of money I can come up with helps.. lol) for a good bit cheaper than 250.. PM for an actual price if you want.
