After 4 looong months, I finally picked up a fully loaded 2000 FRC, red w/48000 on the clock. I have had it for 2 weeks now and I already ordered a Ti exhaust,Zo6 Screens,Vararam, colum lock bypass, lifting pucks, exhaust plate. Cant wait till the goodies come in . My only complaints would be the stupid 1-4 shift and the seats. Other then that, I absolutely love this car, the looks, the low end torque, gas milage, comfort and I could go on and on. Sorry, I dont have any pics of it yet, but I promise I will post them up as soon as I can get my hands on my brothers camera.
You need to contact Corvettes of Houston and tell them you need a CAGS Eliminator. That is one of the first things I did to make my '02 6 speed more user friendly. This CAGS Eliminator installs in about five minutes and costs $30 or less if I remember correctly. It's been almost three years since I bought mine.
This device fools your computer into thinking the Computer Assisted Gear Selection on your car is still hooked up. To install you simply back your car up some ramps and climb under and disconnect the wiring harness connector shown on the instructions and plug in the device supplied. You then tape off the small wiring harness pigtail you disconnected to keep it from dangling. Drive off the ramps and you never have to worry about what gear you can or can't shift into.
The little CAGS lite on your dash will still light up but you can shift into any forward gear.
