Thinking about getting some 18x8.5 fronts and 18x10.5 rears and was wondering if tire sizes 245/40-18 fronts and 275/40-18 rears would fit right or look goofy.. looking for a wider stance in the back than factory look. Any comments, suggestions of different route, pics would be greatly appreciated. thx kris

The 18x10.5 for the back is the OEM Z06 size. You would be able to fit a wider tire with that wider wheel...up to a 295-35x18 (again the stock Z06 fitment). Why not increase the width of the front wheel/tire too?
Many folks are running 18/19 combos and some are running an 18/18 with no issues either. With the sizes you've selected you will acheive a slightly wider stance. IMHO - the 295 aspect ratio tire will fit the 10.5" wide wheel better.
The biggest thing that you need to be careful about is to maintain the stagger so that the T/C system will function properly.
