Default Z06 size tires

My issue is that I am trying to find Z06 sized tires (265/40-17, 295/35-18). I do not want to run the Goodyear eagle f1's. I was looking at the new dunlops coming out but they do not make the rear size. I want a very good traction tire, with a good looking tread pattern, that will fit the Z06 sized rims. Can anyone help me? I tried going through the search option in the forum and couldn't find anything. I am getting really frustrated

Maybe another option would be different tire sizes for 17-9.5 & 18-10.5 rims. My car is lowered and i am afraid I will not be able to go to big. How big can i go? Please help!!!

Yup, the selection is tight when looking at stock Z06 sizes. Lots of rear options out there but the front are limited. If you want to see more options look at 255,265-or 275-40/17 front sizes. The 265 would be most ideal as it is the stock isze but both the others will work and may make your selection a bit better. Between the 255 and 275 front size I would look to go with the 275 first and this is the width I run on the front of my car currently.

Good luck on finding a setup,

Darion

The GS-D3s he mentions are good tires; a bit pricey, but good.

I've had friends run the Firestone Wide Ovals and the Kumho Ecsta MXs. They've liked 'em. I've had no experience with those brands/models though.

Not sure what you would consider a "good looking" tread pattern but take a look at the Michellin PS2's. They're a great tire w/ what I would consider a more traditional tread design. They are avail. in the stock Z06 sizes. The downside- $$$.

Thanks for the help. My question is if I can run that 275 in the front with my car being lowered? I am afraid it will rub

I'm lowered on stock bolts all the way and run a 275/35/18 up front with no rubbing issues at all. Also ran that size on Z06 size/offset wheels before my current setup in a 17" with no problems, no rubbing. Lots of forum members run this size in the front with no issues. The GSD3's are a good choice but the rears are back-ordered and difficult to find as of a few weeks ago. I have PS2's and love em.

I use to have a set of BFG sports on my old 03 cobra. It's a fairly cheap tire and hooks up very well. I was very impressed. It's not the prettiest tread pattern thou.

I just put a set on Wide Ovals on my 2004 Z06 and they seem great so far. Much quieter than the orginal Good Years and traction seems to be nearly as good.
