Renew my GMPP?
The cost is nearly $2,000. I have only used the GMPP one time since I signed on nearly 3 years ago.
Any thoughts?

Dennis is a stand-up guy -- no gouging or BS from him! I bought my GMPP from him. Good luck! This is what Dennis quoted me for my 2000 w 47K on the odometer. And yes, I know he's a stand up guy, and he walks on water but, I was stunned he was this high.

If you are transfering from another owner, there must be 3 months and 3,000 miles left under the GMPP.
only people who used their warranty responded. Seems people
are either dead set against the warranties...or they wouldn't
think of buying a car without one.
Just saw car for sale w/ 80,000 miles and the guy had never
used his GMPP warranty. Only had to change the oil.

If you don't have any major mod's (e.g. a supercharger, h/c), I would seriously consider renewing.
I bought the first GMPP from Dennis and that was the price for the renewal from Dennis.
I was mostly looking for if the warranty would pay for itself. In other words what is going to go wrong in the next 36,000 miles that I should consider the warranty. I originally purchased the warranty mainly because I was used to having a warranty and thought that I needed one. I had a '99 and now this '02. Nothing major to be concerned about service wise.
I currently have two issues to be fixed and another that I am concered about. The headlight gear on the left has gone and the antenna needs to be replaced. Also a concern is that whenever I engage the clutch I hear a small click almost like the universal joint has gone bad.
Thanks again for all who responded.

Just bought GMPP from him earlier this month. He saved me a major bundle compared to local dealor.

I will post again: You can extend a current GMPP policy that you have as long as you have 3 months AND 3,000 miles left of the GMPP plan
GM did not really do any mailouts, ads, etc to let previous owners know this so I post as often as I can to remind customers that have 00-01-02's that this can be done.
Email me your VIN and miles to gmpp@fichtnerchevrolet.com and I will look to see if you can extend your GMPP.
