Not sure who posted this information on replacement key fobs from KEYLESS Entry, but a big thanks goes out to you.
My wife lost the #2 key fob and the replacement cost from Keyless Entry was $19.00. It is the same mft as the originals OEM fobs that came with the car. The programming instructions were extremely well written and easy to use.
If someone needs a fob replacement, I highly recommend.
Was that new or used? Could you post a link to the exact place you bought from? I did a Google and didn't find any place selling them new at that low price.
Are there different prices based on the year's , I have been searching for one for my 99 , and I can't find it any cheaper than $90.00 , pls advise tks

Not sure who posted this before you, but my thanks to you.
For those of you like me who need a FOB with passive entry (I have a 1998 vert).....I highly recommend using GM parts house.
I scoured E-bay and swap meets and did everything I could to find one, but the best I could do was a beat up used one for $65-70.00.
Gene Culley/GM parts house sells them for around $87.00. If you think about the price of gas, the cost of corvette ownership and the general corvette tax......20 extra bucks is nothing.
Gene has the best prices on the FOB's and most everything else and his service is Fantastic!
Sorry to sound like a commercial, but he is really that good.

Thanks Chris, Just ordered mine. I have been needing a new fob since I bought my car a year ago and only got 1 fob. Great price as I was lucky having a 2001 year car.
best place to find FOBS is ebay, used usually from wrecked vehicles being stripped for parts. You can get one for the early C5s for about 50 to 60 bucks usually. Reprograming is a snap.
Same goes with blank keys. I got my blank on that same site, and then just went to the local hardware store to cut it for 2 bucks.
Just get an ohm meter first to find out which resistance your old key is so you now which blank you need.
