Default Why no idle?

What could cause my car not to hold idle?

First time this has happened to me. Last night, the car just kinda hiccupped a few times until the engine just shot off on the road. When I try to start it, it cranks, sometimes it'll start and the tach jumps up and down, but it dies again. When I do get it to run, it'll drive for a minute and die again.

Any ideas? It's an 03. Yes, there's gas and oil in it.

Have your battery load tested. Poor electrical performance can cause the car to "hunt" badly.

Also check that the airbridge and coupling to the MAF sensor is tight and hasn't come loose. That can cause some wierd idling issues.

Check for codes via your DIC. Maybe your TPS?

Well, after having Huffines Chevrolet deny service because of my mods, I had it towed to 21st Century for John to check out. Hopefully it's something minor.

I didn't pull the codes. I don't know how.

Anyways, it turned out to be a $65 crank position sensor and 3 hours labor. Got the car back today thanks to John @ 21st Century.

The dealer couldn't do this to see what was wrong before turning me away?
