Sams Club Gas

I don't know, but we have used it fairly regularly in my wife's TrailBlazer. It has been fine... until the last couple of tankfulls.
The TB started developing very bad hesitation when cold...
It disappeared for awhile and then returned after the next Sam's club fill-up. I added some Seafoam to the tank and that seems to have cured it...
I don't know if they have a water problem at the outlet or some other issue, but we are staying away for a while to determine if it is the TB or the gasoline.

We have a gas station out here that is a 76 and sells VP race fuel. $4.50-5.00 per gallon from the pump, I use it in my race bikes. DO NOT PUT THIS IN YOUR VETTE! It is LEADED fuel.

They are not kept down by branding, therefore they buy their fuel from whoever is the cheapest that week. It's never the same supplying company. I read a newspaper article about it when they first started selling fuel.

Sam's is ok. But you cant be sure who's gas is in your tank.
I like consistency for my vette so I fill up with Shell 93 at the same station near my house.
If I'm caught outside my home area. I look for a company that atleast owns a refinery.

Sorry for the Double Post.
Wesley Chapel is near Tampa.
Try Hess.
In Florida I find 93 octane everywhere. 92 would be the exception.
Then again I do not know how remote Wesley Chapel is.

I'm amused when I hear guys compare one brand gas vs another. Refineries transport their gas in the same pipeline, put in so much in one end, take the same out the other end. It all mixes up and ends up being the same for the same rating. Some companies add an extra bit at the end such as Techron, but gas is gas, as long as it isn't contaminated with water etc.

Bet you cannot answer.
I'll give you a hint: we are a peninsula.
Anyway. The Additive at the end is what us vette freaks like. Techron is added into Chevron gas. Most major brand gas adds detergents. Higher ratios of detergents in premium gas combined with the high octane = less carbon and other build up down the road.

Hi folks, MARATHON. They are the maker of the gas that wal mart and sam's sell. Good stuff, the 93 octane. They are out of the mid west. I made a little over 640 rwhp with the stuff.
Gas is sent in pipe lines. However they do NOT send it all at the same time, and they have a transition in between each type so they will not mix! At least in the refinerys I have been in or have friends that work in know about who have been in the "oil movements dept".
