Default Fast 90/90 Poll. Users please vote.

I would like to know what 90/90 setup you have and whether you have done the MAP relocation. Has it been tuned? Then I'd like to know what driveability issues you have.

This would be invaluable to members trying to make the decision to buy. Also include any important info, like if they were ported who did the work. I will post my results when I get my fast.

I'll start. My mods are in my sig. Particulars on the FAST: Ported by Tony Mamo, Nick Williams TB. Since I have all the internal mods I have tuned my car.
---
Drivability issues: Some surge at times. Some hesitation with VERY light throttle below 1400 rpms.
---
I am installing the LPE MAP relocation kit tomorrow. When I got mine it was one of the warped ones. Not bad though. I put it on and torqued it down from the middle out. It's now straight as I've had it off several times doing other work.
---
Not all that happy with the color, the big ugly FAST logo on the top front. Not happy with the MAP mounting, the vacuum fitting for the HVAC routing, or the throttle body o-ring and sealing, and the fact that it is nearly impossible to mount or remove the throttle body with the manifold mounted unless you fix the tb mounting nuts permanantly to the back of the tb mounting flange.
---
I painted mine low gloss ceramic black, looks . I am relocating the map sensor. I have removed the o-ring and made an RTV gasket to mount it with. I had Tony fix the nuts to the TB mounting flange.
---
I love the extra power the combo gave me. It was expensive but after all my other mods It was a way to make some more.
---
BTW, you might get more response if this was in the Tech section. Also, you said it was a poll, but you didn't set it up as one.
Hope this helps.

I have the fast 90mm on mine and 90mm throttle body. It was tuned but a GM dealer randomly decided to delete it without telling me when doing unrelated work. But EnglandGreen will be tuning it again soon. It actually drives fine untuned even with all the mods 408 iron block, 244 248, 61x 61x 114 cam, ported heads, LG long tubes it just runs rich and is probably loosing some power from running rich.

But I think you'd want a tune regardless because tossing a 90/90 on a stock motor would be silly so chances are you're running H/C/headers etc and a tune would be wise with all that after market stuff.

It took me too long to set up the questions, apparently you only have 5 minutes, who knew?

I would say that the FAST 90 intake is fine, but I have heard nightmare stories about both the FAST 90 intake with FAST 90 TB. I would do the FAST 90 intake and a ported TB (of course by one of the reputable vendors) before I would do both the FAST 90/90 setup.

Honestly...I would just get a nice ported TB and a LS6 intake and save some bucks if you don't plan on doing a larger/forged motor like ArKay99 did, but that is just MHO.

Best of luck on this one,

Micah

I have the FAST ported 90mm intake with a ported stock LS2 t-body, no issues so far, I do like the thought of the relocation kit. When I first put in the map sensor I was not impressed with how the sensor just popped in, something more secure is needed!
