I find it hard to believe you have stock like driveability with the G5X4 cam. Does the car lope? How much? Is it noticeable?

"Like Stock" denotes cam behavior that is hard to tell apart from the stock cam. Common sense tells me that this cam is far from stock.

By the way, very, impessive numbers, you definately have me thinking, which is why Im asking

BTW, STD numbers read 2-3% higher, so he actually gained MORE power than what's shown.

whenever i say "drivability is like stock" that was in terms of the car actually moving and driving around. now on another note this is a HUGE cam. the lope is insane and sounds down right wicked. so, in terms of sound, it is way way wayyyy far from stock but driving to the store it takes no more errort to get there with the x4 vs the stock cam. as long as u get a good tune, any cam will drive like stock.

While injectors would not make any horsepower, they do permit more gas in to the CC. So if the original Injectors were there it would prevent the engine and the combo from reaching its potential.

true. while they do not give you any "hp" they allow for for hp to be made, which is what i said.

Thanks for the clarification.
Im currently debating a G5-X3 myselft. My car is bone stock and has gone 11.8@118+. I figure with a cam, I might be able to go mid to low 11s? I just want to make sure that I dont take it too far. I love the civility of the car. I dont want to stray too far away from that.

^ I used to say the same ****... "I love how nice it drives". Then I took a trip to Florida and back in my buddy Mike's (illmac77) H/C '04Z. He has AFR 205's milled to 59cc and a G5-X1e cam. The car makes 452 rwhp and drives like stock 98% of the time. I was very surprised.

I kept my stock heads and went w/ a G5-X2 on a 114. Went w/ the 114 vs. 112 for drivability... my tune still isn't perfect, but it drives good. It doesn't like stop/go in hot weather esp w/ the AC on, but that's all in the tune.

G5-X3 is a hair larger than the X2:

X2 - 232/240 .595/.608
X3 - 234/242 .600/.610 (that's what I've heard)

I'm happy w/ my cam choice... it makes the car so mean and so much fun to drive. If it was my daily driver I'm not sure I'd be singing the same tune, but it's not, so I love it!
