Help With Hot Foglight

Came home from a ride the other night and noticed the smallest whisp of smoke coming from the front. I thought it might be a coolant leak but it wasn't. It was my foglight melting the surrounding plastic. For some reason the plastic insert is out of alignment. I don't know how it happened or when. Must be recently because i never noticed it before. Any thoughts or like experiences and their possible fix is appreciated.
I need have the car in top shape for Corvettes at Carlyle.

From what you report, it sounds as though something may have slipped out of alignment? Maybe the surround or the light moved and is now getting hot from touching the foglight?
