I am new to this list and wanted to introduce myself. My name is Les Hankinson, I live in the Atlanta area (Alpharetta). I am 50 years young.
Cars: Picked up my new 2002 Silver ZO6 last night, always wanted a Corvette and now I have one of the best! I have only driven it a few miles but really like how it handles in the twisties, taking it to the North Georgia mountains for a run today - can't wait.
I plan to do some bolt on mods only to let it breath and exhaust a bit better and will be using this forum to get educated on the best/proven methods. So far someone has recommended a Haltech Induction, plus I am considering L/T headers, what is the prevailing opinion here?
My other car is a 97 T/A M6 which ran high 10's on the "old" 355 motor (Vortech T trim blower) and I am close to completing the new motor - a 1000+ HP/TQ 383 with a YS trim blower making 23# pounds of boost. If the M6 can hold the power it should be the first documented 9 second 4th Gen M6 - but time will tell.
Les, I bet nobody can beat that smile off of your face after you get back from the mountians. I live on the south side of Atlanta, down near Newnan. Wife and I went up north to the mountians about a month ago. We met a friend who has a Yamaha R6. What a blast it was. :D BTW nice color!
Just got back from my N. Ga. run - about 180 miles R/T and it was amazing. My wife was a bit nervous going around hairpin turns at 60+ MPH (the max safe speed 15-20 type) but the car was well within its limits, man what a rush.
BlackZ - I live near Aviary in Oxford Mill on Buice - sorry you are not still around.
Later guys - have to go drive the car some more :)
Welcome to Z-ville...Lots of good intakes, also several headers out there also..I did read a post where a member claims to have lost 7 HP with an 02 and headers  Any way have fun
Welcome. There are a number of Z06s around here. I live off Old Alabama and there are several 02s in here. Several of us should meet at Chicagos soon and have a martini and some car talk!
BTW - when you see the yellow 02 Z06 or black 02 SS out front (of Chicagos) that's me. We go to Chicagos for dinner almost every night.
Thanks - I get to Chicago's from time to time so if I see your car there I'll drop in and intro myself.
Les

Which Chicagos you speaking of? I live over in the Lawrenceville area and I'm assuming your speaking of the Alpharetta area but I'm not for sure on that one. I don't know where 'Old Alabama' is located at, I moved here this past Feb. and I'm still getting to know the names of different places.
Maybe sometime if I'm in the area and I see one of your cars out front I'll stop on in and say hi and join in on the car talk!
Thanks Norman, Looks like a great group to me so far. The best news is that the spousal unit is letting me keep the blown F-Body (which should run 9's even with the M6) so for the moment I have the best of both worlds :)
Les
PS: I lived near you for 3 years - Leawood Ks. - great place to raise a family!
Welcome to the Forum, the best place to be when you can't be driving a Vette.
Congrats on your awesome new ride!
I live near Spalding Drive, not far. I am "a little more than 50", but thirty years of Corvettes has been my "preservation". Some super people in the Atlanta area that are members of the Corvette and Forum families. Watch the Southeastern Section for upcoming events. Look forward to meeting you!
Enjoy every mile! Enjoy every smile! Waaaaaave! :chevy :flag :chevy :flag
