Default Observation....

Just an intresting observation. I traded my white '99 vert in on a red '01vert about 2 weeks ago. My wife and I both notice that we used to get far more comments about the white car than we do the red.The new car is a lot cleaner than the the '99 and in fact I would consider it to be in show condition. People definately check this car out but usually don't say anything. Any comments on this strange phenomena?

It's because the 90's version of the C5 was so much better than the 2000 version

BTW, nice choice in upgrade color

Default White is...

I've been on the show circuit for 40 years and I've observed that most of the winners are red, white and blue. I've owned two white Verts and they were constant winners. I currently own both a white '86 and a blue '03. The '86 is "retired" but we are once again "out there" and winning with the '03. But I still prefer white; it is easier to keep clean and the color hides a lot of flaws!

Being that it's a TR vert, they're speechless?

A.) They are stunned with the beauty? or
B.) They are focusing on a Price song?

Guess if you have to settle for 2nd best...

Lemans Blue is still the best color...and the fastest.

I think it's because white cars are ugly and boring, EXCEPT for the Vette. Vettes are the only cars that look good in white. Soooo, when people see a white car that looks good, they're more apt to comment on it.

I'd have to agree that maybe it is because red is a more common color on a Corvette. Nice new car regardless.

And you spelled it right! I'm so proud of you!

I was thinking that a red vette is so intimidating that they are afraid to speak!

Lots of reds out there I get more coments on our silver car than our yellow silver like white are low production colors so you just see less of them
