Bugged me since 2001
I need help in determining if there is a part to trim out the Heating/AC vent duct opening located on the driver's side of the dashboard console for my 01 C5? There is just a opening in the plastic, no rubber gasket, nothing. You can see the raw unfinished edge of the plastic. The Heating/AC duct opening on the door itself has a rubber trim piece on it. However there is no mate on the side of the dashboard. I have asked at various Chevy parts departments, I have personally
scanned their computer screens when they have told me there is no part for the opening and looked in everywhere my shop manuals, again nothing. After all these years I've had all I can take looking at the eyesore every time I get in her. It looks unfinished. Can anyone help with a parts number?

Mine look the same and I'll bet my wife's C5 is the same as well. The parts manual doesn't list one either. The one on the door is listed as the seal and only one is required and called for.
