Leave them on, there are no gains in hp without them.
i dissagree... although i canot give a figure i know at least thoes of us with turbos gain a signifigant amount by reducing backpressure. I am also caltess and i love the sound
Back to back dynos showed 0rwhp 1rwtq gain with them gone on a mild H/C car. I know back to back dynos still dont give a definite answer to the question but it gives an idea. The change was pretty much none. If you want the extra noise take them off. If you dont leave them on. Keep in mind you may get more exhaust smell with them gone. If you have a more agressive set up them me you may see more benefit with them gone also.
I'm not meaning to jump on a soapbox or sound like a tree hugger here, but why not leave them in place and do your small share for the environment? There are better ways to gain horsepower and/or eliminate backpressure....
