ok guys i have a 94 and am about to hop into a 1998 C5. its dark silver, pewter i think( dont know what to call it) with with black interior. its a 6spd. dual climate, no HUD. not a z51 package. no chrome rims. but CLEAN as can be. get this its got 29,000 miles he is asking 20,500...i was thinking of offering him around 18,000...its worth around 18,900 private party 16500 trade in and around 21,900 sugjested retail..i didnt tell him id give him 18000 but i was thinking around that much. I'd love to go lower but for those miles and the condition its not a bad price, but the bad thing is he OWES 23,000 on it so i dont think hell go much lower than 19000.. but the longer he waites the more payments he has to make. hes a super nice guy too..ive ran into some a holes htinking there vettes are the best...what should i do and or offer more? less? thanks guys
20,500 sounds pretty fair to me. I wouldn't let my 98 with 19,000 go for any less than 21,000 but I also have crome Y2K wheels, CAI, and a catback and there's not a mark on it. I would offer him 19k but if he owes 23K he may not go for it. He might hold out for more. I would.
Sounds like a good car but it is still a 98' and for just a few grand more you could get into a 00' or an 01' nearly same miles and more options. I would only get it if you can do for 18k-to 19k. Just my opinion..................
sounds nice...but a little high in price for a regular '98 coupe. I wouldn't pay anymore than that teens for it. If not...walk.....and find another. They are a dime-o-dozen. Not your fault he's upside down.
It's a shame that he owes so much on his 98 and you shouldn't have to overpay due to it. I would think $20k would be a fair amount. I also own a clean 98 but it has quite a few more miles than the one that you are looking at. Good luck!
My .02
A lot would depend on what your going to do to it.
If you keep it stock and just enjoy it, then 20K is not a bad price to pay for the condition. But, if your planning on mods, exhaust, wheels, minor eng bling. Now, your going to get another 5K in it easy. So, I would think around the 18K range.
Good Luck with your decision
thanks alot guys i see so many for cheaper than that, its a gorgious car, but NOT my first pic of colors. i love the black interior, that ext. is pretty nice but id rather get a white or black,, id shoot a load over the same color scheme i have on my car..not many of those i havent seen though, thanks alot for yours guys input, really!
