Default what would you do?

I just put in a new 3.90 rear end in my car and pulled the 20k mile 3.42 out. I paid a $700 core charge. I am not sure whether I should keep my 3.42 in case I add more power later or just send it in for the core. I can always sell it for what they will give me for the core.

Keep it till you decide to sell it.

I like to keep my spare parts as long as possible.

I kept mine for 5 years in case I ever decide to go back to stock, put in a s/c or t/t or my 4.10's go south. I ended up installing them in the C5 I bought for Mrs. Patches - a 2.73 gear A4 that desperately needed the 3.42's. Now I still have her 2.73 core as a spare that I can rebuild if necessary.

Unless you really need the cash I'd keep it.

Keep it.

I keep everything that comes off the car, and then some. Having extra Corvette parts is the next best thing to having "extra corvettes"

I vote to keep it, you can always sell, that gear is very popular with us A-4 types.
