Another DIY mod for me

Came out looking pretty good. Still need to paint the CAUTION FAN lettering back to black. What do you guys, and girls, think?

The intake was already painted when I bought the car. So, I went to Autozone yesterday and picked up Duplicolor engine red. Removed the radiator cover, washed it with simple Green degreaser, dried it, then sanded and washed again. After it dried, I put three coats of red on it, then three coats of Duplicolor engine clear. Let it all bake in the sun for an hour, then re-assembled it. Took a black paint pen and did the CAUTION FAN lettering back to black. It looked AWESOME! Only one minor little problem....the engine red was ORANGE!
No matter what angle I looked at it from, it was definately of a more orange color than the intake. I thought, maybe, it just needed to cure more. So, went to work last night, came home this morning, popped the hood and I was right. It did need to cure more.....to more ORANGE!
Off to Autozone. Looking, looking, that's the only engine red they have. So, I was about to walk away, and go to Advance Auto to see if they had another red color, when I noticed Duplicolor RED CALIPER paint. Sumanabeech! That's my intake and caliper color! Bought a can, took everything back off, sanded, then repainted it. Now it's a match and looks good.
Sorry this is long, but you DID ask me. And I'm telling you. No matter how bad I look for having to do it twice.

Wrap the sandpaper on a paint stick or block, don't do it by hand, cover the surrounding area with blue tape so you do not accidentally scrap the newly painted cover
