Default Autolumination

I plan to order some LED's for the rest of the outside of my C5 to compliment the new Halos I just put on. before ordering from a "new" place I like to get some feedback on them first. I know many people here have ordered from Autolumination.com any problems with them? how's their customer service? how about speed? thanks for any info!

You either got lucky, or I have the least luck of anybody. In the 20+ "past" orders I've place with them, they have NEVER got the count right. Not once! And it's never in my favor. Quite often it's not even the right item. And when they screw it up, it's 2 to 3 weeks to correct. Communcation lacks as well. Chris will not give a phone number out so you have to handle everything by emails ... and wait ... and wait ... for him to get home from his real job. It's definately a Ma & Pa business. I'm sure it's nothing more than a garage full of LEDs with a folding table & chairs. The wife fills orders and Chris invoices when he get home. Of qall the companies we deal with, this is my second to the least favorite company. I'm glad that you've had good luck with them, but my experience has been horrible!

Wow, this is the first "Negative" feedback post I've ever made

I'd like to do this to mine and Lori's car over the winter. If not this vendor then who do you go with for bulbs? Or do you just try and hope they get it right?

I've ordered with great success at www.superbrightleds.com before. they are pretty quick and always accurate. Unfortunately as I was looking at LED bulbs for this order sbleds didn't have as good of bulbs as autolumination.

I'd also recommend asking Richard, he carries a lot of LED products and has more than just what's located on corvette-enhancements.com. Also a top-notch vendor!

I won’t deal with them any more. They screwed up my order and refused to pay for return shipping saying if I got it from store I would have to take it back anyway. I if I went to a store I would have choose the correct item. Also the item they sent me was more expensive then what I paid for, I could have sold it on e-bay or this forum and just reordered but I thought I was being honest. Then when I did get the correct bulbs one of the failed, not wanting to deal with them anymore I just took my business to superbrightleds.com And I am not just saying this, but the bulb I got from them was much better (brighter) anyway.

I have also got some LEDs from oznium.com

I agree with Richard. I order the chrome coated amber bulbs for my clear DRL's. One bulb lasted for about 20 miles befoe it burned out and the other lasted about 100 miles and blew out. I emailed them 3 times and never got any response back from them whatsoever.

Yep, definitely stay away from their Chrome Bulbs, I had almost the exact same experience. The difference was that one of mine went out within 30 seconds. I didn't even get the car backed out of my shop. I just removed the other and tossed it in the trash where they belong. I'm glad that I did as always, and just bought a single pair for testing.

I've actually asked Chris for his phone number over 20 times, so that we didn't have "So Many" email miscommunications. He's ignored each and every request as if it wasn't even written in the emails. Their incompetence is absolutely incredible ... almost to the point of being humorous ... but not! I find it hard to laugh about wasted money.

I could go on and on with stories, but what's the point. BUYER-BEWARE!

now I really wish I hadn't ordered from them. I sure hope this one goes well at least! I did so after the first couple of positive posts. now I'm worried about it.

I'm about to take the plunge on some leds. If not Autoillumination, then who else carries switchbacks and are they available in just the white. No amber?

well as a follow up to my previous order, I have fortunately had all positive experiences with them. I've placed 2-3 orders now, I can't remember, and they really helped me out.

the first time I did something really stupid, I didn't pay attention to exactly what bulbs were in a C5. (why did they use a dual contact bulb in the backup lights? its only a single circuit?!?) and I ended up ordering $100 worth of the wrong bulbs. I figured I had just screwed myself. I e-mailed them to ask what they could do for me and they were very helpful. they said that if the bulbs I wanted to order were the same price that I could just swap them out without any restocking fee. I could send the incorrect ones back and have them replaced, or I can buy new ones to get them to me quickly and they would give me a 100% refund when I returned the wrong ones. my mistake only cost me about $6 in shipping. another time I got one bulb which was DOA. I contacted them about it and it was replaced, no questions asked. I still have he defective one too, they didn't even want it back first.
maybe they have improved their service since some of you guys ordered. they got everything right except for when I was the one who made the mistake. they e-mailed me back quickly and were very helpful with the couple of problems I did have. I would have no problem ordering more bulbs from them in the future.

they also have a table of the bulbs to put in a C5, just be careful with it, its not 100% correct. in at least one place they have the bulb type for a certain spot right, but have the wrong bulb listed as the most popular choice.
