I swear, my tranny/clutch has been cursed since the day I got the car... First 6th gear, then the sticky clutch issue and now reverse..
What happens is this.. I cluch in, shift into reverse, then as Im letting off of the clutch the tranny grinds... If I go to push the clutch back in, it still grinds which leads me to believe that its something with the clutch assembly??
Guess I should be happy that this happens now since the warranty is still good, but with only 1month to spare I need to get this fixed asap...
I feel your pain. I just took mine in today to the dealership for similar problem. Mine has been gringing when shifting into forth from both second and sixth gear (would shift fine if i let the RPMs drop and shift slowly, but wheres the fun in that). They thought it would be syncros, but they are now telling me the clutch actuator is going bad (about a $1500) and that it is causing the clutch o not fully engage, and this is supposedly not covered under warranty. They are replacing the syncros though, so maybe that will help. You can find a thread on here about the sticky clutch syndrome, and it works well (syringe method). Anyway, dont know if this helps at all, but might be a similar problem in yours. We will see how it does tomorrow when I get it back, I cant wait to trade this Cobalt back in for my baby!!!
