Default leak

I have a leak in my 2000 vette, the water seems to be coming from the air conditioning motor. Does any one know where the actual leak would be to let water get into that area?

Not exactly sure what you're asking..... but all A/C units leak water outta 'somewhere' as it removes the moisture from the air and expells it into the environment.

The question now becomes - where does the water expell out of and is this normal for YOUR vette?

Default A/C water

Better hope you"re getting water under your car when the A/C is on, otherwise, you have a problem!!!

Default Water in passenger footwell

Check to be sure you have water dripping from the air conditioner drain tube . If not, the A/C drain is probably plugged causing the water to back up into the blower compartment just above the passenger foot well. If this is the case your blower is flooded with water and will soon stop working. Had this problem, drain was plugged. Needed to replace the blower. When the blower was removed about a quart of water dumped into the passenger foot well!!

Check elsewhere on this forum for pictures and location of the A/C drain tube. It's on the firewall buried behind the exhaust manifold. Can be reached from the bottom with a wire to unclog. If you remove the tube for cleaning cut the end off to eliminate the restriction on the end.
