I have owned a '69 big block 4 speed, a '91 vert, and a '98 vert. All things considered, I do like the C5 the best, though the '69 t-top was alot of fun at the time.

This is my 4th Vette and by far my favorite was my 1st one, a 64 Vert.

C5 hands down.

I've owned a 67, 58 and an 88 in the past. I now own a 66 and a 02. The C5 is the best by far.

I've owned a C3 (1978), C4 (1987) and a C5 (2003). They were all great cars for their time, and the C5 still is. Haven't driven a C6, but I suspect that it's even better than the C5.

My first was a '65 coupe. A real beast.

I like the refinement of my current '97 C5.

I've had a 73 vert, 93 vert, 94 coupe and 98 vert. I sill have the 93 and the 98 and as much as I love the Ruby...the C5 is the most fun to drive and own.

I had a '93 and now own an '03. The C5 is simply a superior car with the power and ride. I also like how much easier it is to take the targa top out. I do still like how the C4 looks but not as much as the C5.

'84 coup. The 1st C4 so you expect it to have some design flaws. It was very rough in all aspects, suspension, steering, the 4+3 trans, bad seats, horrendous ergonomics (they put the windshield wiper controls on the door and the window controls on the console), and we can't forget the ceasefire injection system.

'95 coup. Comparing it to the '84 is like putting a c5 up to a model T. The car was much better. No bugs to think of. The engine, the suspension, 6-speed tranny, interior, everything was much better.

'04 vert. Not nearly as big of a change as the '84 -'95. The C5 is more refined and distinguished than the '95. You get a roomier, quieter, and a little more modern interior styling. Although my C4 chairs where more comfortable and the stereo sounded better. The biggest difference is that the controls of the '95, although very smooth in operation, required a bit of effort. The steering was tight and yet very responsive as where the pedals and shifter. You really feel like your doing something when you drive it. The C5 on the other hand is almost effortless. The clutch is light and the steering wheel barely requires your pinky. To me it feels like the car does all the work and I'm just there for the ride.

I have to give it to the C5, hence why I bought one . I would really like a chance to compare a '97 to my '04. Anyone have/had both that can fill us in on the differences between early and late C5s?
