A/C not working; no DIC codes

A/C not working; no DIC codes

When in AUTO mode the A/C button stays lit for about 1 second and then goes out and there is no cold air.
Defroster also does not blow cold air.
Checked the DIC: 99 - HVAC - no codes

I hear ya. 
I was just asking because if the external temp sensor sees less than about 35 degrees, or if the sensor is unplugged or bad (reads 69) then the ac compressor wont come on. I know the internal sensor by the key has something to do with it also, but there is no reading to view.
