Default LS1 (Z06-style) Emblems

Has anyone put the Z06-style LS1 Emblems on their cars? I'm planning on putting a set on my car but I can't decide which manufacturer to go with. Which would you recommend?

http://www.mamotorworks.com/corvette...rame=1.44.3010

Other???

Please post pics if you've got them!

Thanks!

As an alternative, check out the offerings that forum member austin.mn has (www.vetteorama.com). He can custom make you some emblems.

TTT - One more round :-)

Nobody has these things on thier car? They are like $100 a piece and I don't want to buy then just to discover they don't look quite right. They look decent in the pictures (actually the GM licensed ones look kind of home-made) but if anyone had bought them I'd be interested in hearing what they thought about them.

I think they're cool! I want to get various emblems for all the other base-model codes on my car. What's the one for base suspension? FE1? that'll look bad ***.

Before you overpay at $100 each, try the following:

I don't personally sport these badges, but I know some other forum members have ordered from this place and are happy.

IMHO, the LS1 variant of the original Z06 badge are lame wannabes. The letter 'Z' fills the oval well -- the 'L' does not. You've got a great car with an excellent engine -- to hell with the badges! Just push the pedal and enjoy!

I have the LS1 Turbocharged badges and am considering taking them off. The Turbocharged lettering is so small you can't really read it. Only option is to paint them maybe a red i guess. Might be a little more readable. But then again if the lettering was bigger i still probably would be taking them off.

I was thinking about one with Z19 on it. Special code for a special model.

Yeah, I was afraid the general opinion was that they are wannabes...but I still like the way they look but really haven't seen a shot with them on the vehicle.

Another option would be to put the entire "LS1" into the oval, and put your performance data, forum handle or whatever else on the side bar. Or go with something completely different that almost nobody else has. I custom make all my badges one at a time, so pretty much the skies the limit, just don't ask me to do a set with a brushed finish...

I have to agree. The only time I want to see a badge on my car disrupting an otherwise clean look is if it truly means something. IMO, an LS1 badge falls into the poseur camp...kinda like fake brake side vents...

I was considering the Mid America badges before I deployed. Are the ones you showed made of billet alumninum?

I think the badges would add a certain touch of class to my Vette. Its not really a poser move unless you were trying to put Z06 badges on an coupe or a vert, IMHO.

Yeah, those are in the first link. I'm leaning towards those as well.
