Default Bike rack for C5?

Is there a bicycle rack that will work on the C5? Not a hatch mounted one. I don't imagine a roof rack exists either, and even if it did it would be ugly.

Is there a stealth trailer hitch for the C5 that you can get and then mount a bike rack to?

Yes, I have another vehicle that carries a bike better, but sometimes I want to be able to drive the C5 and carry a bike.

This is the only photo I could find that shows my Draw Tite hitch between the exhaust pipes. Pardon the photo chopped text addition.

Use trailer hitch mounted rack. Just keep in mind you may need to use an extension to "push" the bike rack far enough to clear the rear bumper cover. IMO thats the only way to bike rack a C5.

Drive for one mile...walk back...ride the bike for two miles...walk back a mile....drive for two miles......rinse....repeat...better exercise

sorry for being a wise guy, fine idea, drive the C5 and get some exercise on the bike.....the hitch will work fine.

Putting a bike rack on a C5 gets you 50 lashes with a hood performance seal

This is close (but no cigar)...hitch for a C5:

BTW Yakima, one of the major mfg's for bike racks does not make one --you'd think they would. Anyhow, good luck. If you come up with a solution I'd be interested to know.

Thanks,
- Eric

I've had a Saris Bonz on a C5 car before. It worked OK, but I had to work a bit to make it fit, and I was nervous the whole time. The feet on that thing are pretty adjustable, and they just touched the glass. The straps held everything pretty tight and didn't scratch anything..

Is there an "Eckharts Trailer Hitches" in your area? When I was there getting one installed on my CorVanne, I mean mini van, they were installing one on a 911. They are able to hide it when not in use on the Porsche from what he told me. Might be worth checking out.
