changing ignaition cylinder
It looks like I am going to need to change the ignition cylinder on my 2000. I have problems with it not wanting to start at times and have determined it is tthe code reader inside the cylinder. Has anyone had this done? I called gm and they said that I would need to get new keys as the cylinder cant be keyed to match the original? I hope this is not the case as the keys arent cheap. I bought a new key to try and fix the problem. Also dont want to carry one key for the door and one for the ignition. Has anyone had this done? Did you have to get new keys? Dont trust what the dealer tells me, been burned before. Thanks for any info.
