Default Scissor jacks?

How many use a scissor jack in case of a flat on your Z? My Z has been lowered on stock bolts and I was wondering in case of a flat would a scissor jack be of any use? The one I'm looking at is approx. 3 1/8" closed and about 12" tall fully opened. Even with the Z's tire kit I've always wanted a jack in the trunk just in case.

I carry an aluminum scissors jack from an Mazda RX7 (also Porsche). My car isn't lowered though. I carry a full assortment of tools as well as the oem tire compressor, plugs, etc. I've always found that carrying all of the stuff insured I'd never use it.

Being able to get a jack under the car would be nice, I suppose, to make fixing the flat easier, but, since the z does not come so equipped, I figure the idea is to just pull the nail/screw plug the hole & inflate using the equipment provided.

If the repair goes beyond that call a flat bed.

Having said that, I do carry lots of tools, including a race jack & extra gas & sockets etc, but that's because I am usually driving to an autox/track event & need them when I get there.

When I remarked that one of the jacks at Harbor Freight might not fit under a Vette, the salesman said: "No problem, just have someone push up on the roof of the car. Then slide jack under it." Interesting approach if you have help.
