Default Scissor jacks?

I posted this thread in the Z06 section but I think here is more appropriate to ask.
How many use a scissor jack in case of a flat on your vette? My Z has been lowered on stock bolts and I was wondering in case of a flat would a scissor jack be of any use? The one I'm looking at is approx. 3 1/8" closed and about 12" tall fully opened. Even with the Z's tire kit I've always wanted a jack in the trunk just in case.

You better include a couple of 2x4"s to drive up onto. With a puck in place, stock height, and air in the tires, you need about 3 1/4" of hight to insert a jack. Don't know for sure what your minimum is, with your set up, but you can find out simply by letting the air out of a front tire, and then later and separately a rear tire, and seeing what your minimum height requirement is.

I agree but I was hoping to save some energy and someone might respond who has used a scissor jack. As my car sets now a floor jack barely fits under the puck. A piece of a 2x4 might be the answer. Thanks.

I posted in your duplicate...I carry an aluminum scissors jack from a Mazda RX7 (or Porsche). My car is not lowered. I carry every tool I can think of, plus spare odds and ends insuring I'll never need them.
Unless you have a catastrophic blow out and/or bead broken from the rim, you could inflate the tire with the oem/aftermarket compressor and give yourself enough time/room to slip the jack under the pucks before it deflates again. Make your repairs w/o removing the tire with plugs or remove the tire and make repairs...at least that's my plan.
