Currently I'm looking at the general exclaim uhp's and the sumitomo htrzII's. These tires new are right around the $400 range on tire rack. Has anyone gotten a great tire deal in Tucson??? If so, what shop, what tires, and what was the deal? I got a week till I get back to my car and this is a must do!! thanks for the help ahead of time!

Mike - I would consider paying a visit to Discount Tire. I've used them exclusively for the entire time I've lived in Arizona (almost 16 years). I've purchased two sets of tires for the Corvette, and maybe six or seven sets for the other vehicles over the years.
They will price match if you ask them about it. They also offer a road hazard warranty for about $10 per tire, take it! If you suffer a tire failure, a nail, etc. you will get a new tire. Also - Discount uses the state of the art tire machines to minimize the potential for damage to a wheel. One other thing - make sure you get a Road Force balance.
I would also think about a four wheel alignment after you get the tires installed.
I would also consider if I were you, hooking up with the local Corvette club down in Tucson - take a look at this sticky that I posted in the Southwest regional forum. It lists all of the clubs of which I was aware in Arizona and gives links to their web page if it was available.
I have had some incidental contact with the Tucson folks, and I'm sure they would be happy to make some recommendations for service on your Vette. Best of luck!!!
Blacksedan...thanks for all the info! I will take it all under consideration and prob go that route. I get back in AZ next friday so I'm hoping to have an appointment for the car over the weekend. Great info and I'll be checkin out the tucson vette club soon!
